The Formax FD 38Xi is the top of Formax's friction-feed folder line: fully automatic fold-plate setup, 18 pre-programmed folds plus 36 custom folds in memory, and speeds up to 17,000 pieces per hour. Unlike the FD 386, the multi-sheet feeder for up to 4 stapled or unstapled sheets is built in, and AutoStack stacker wheels adjust themselves when you change paper. A 500-sheet hopper folds out in about 2 minutes onto the telescoping conveyor.
