What You Print
The copier prints it. The copy room still has to finish it.
A school office prints more than almost any business its size: classroom materials every day, a handbook every August, programs for every concert and graduation, statements every quarter. The copier handles the printing. The laminating, cutting, folding, stitching and sealing is where staff time goes, and where the consumer-grade equipment in most copy rooms gives up.
Laminated classroom materials, posters, name tags and ID cards
Today: Office-store laminators top out at 3 to 5 mil and a 9-inch throat, take minutes to warm up, and jam on the thick pouches teachers actually want.
With finishing: A heavy-duty pouch laminator runs 10 and 14 mil pouches up to 13 or 18 inches wide, all day. For stacks of flashcards and reusable worksheets, an auto-feed laminator takes 200 sheets at a time.
Handbooks, playbills, graduation programs and course catalogs
Today: The copier's finisher staples flat in the corner. Saddle-stitched booklets go to a print shop with a two-week lead, or get hand-folded by the front office.
With finishing: A booklet maker staples on the spine and folds in one pass, up to 64 or 100 pages. A squareback finisher turns the student handbook into a book with a flat spine.
Report cards, tuition statements and re-enrollment packets
Today: Printed, folded, stuffed and sealed by hand four times a year, with grades and balances on the desk while it happens.
With finishing: A pressure sealer folds and seals a one-piece report card or statement into its own mailer, no envelope, 3,000 an hour. Multi-page packets go through a folder/inserter into #10 envelopes.
Flashcards, certificates, tickets and trimmed flyers
Today: A rotary trimmer, one cut at a time, crooked edges on the diplomas.
With finishing: A tabletop guillotine cuts a stack square in one stroke, including 65 to 80 lb cover certificates and diplomas.
Worksheets and class packets at volume
Today: Every copy pays the copier click charge, and the copier is tied up while the packets run.
With finishing: A digital duplicator prints 155 pages a minute for a fraction of a copier click. Schools printing thousands of worksheet pages a week feel it on the next invoice.
Student records, applications and financial files at disposal
Today: A deskside shredder that overheats after ten minutes, or boxes of records waiting for a pickup.
With finishing: A P-4 cross-cut shredder that runs continuously, or an auto-feed unit that takes a 175-sheet stack while the office does something else. Records are destroyed when they are no longer needed, as FERPA expects.
Bulletin-board die-cut letters and shapes are a classroom craft machine, not our product, and we will say so. Flyers, newsletters and worksheets already print fine on your copier.

Every kit is delivered, installed in the copy room, set up with presets for your actual pieces, and comes with training for the office staff and anyone else you want trained. Financing is available on all three, and we work with purchase orders.

The front-office set for a single-campus school.
Roughly 100 to 400 students. Fits on a counter in the copy room. Laminate at 10 mil without jams, cut stacks square, fold the newsletter, and shred records properly.

Kit 2 — School Copy Room
For schools that print programs, statements and laminate every day.
Roughly 400 to 1,200 students. The auto-feed laminator takes a 200-sheet stack of flashcards or reusable worksheets on its own, the booklet maker stitches programs and handbooks, the pressure sealer turns report cards into sealed mailers, and the duplicator takes the long worksheet runs off the copier.
